This used to be the largest meat-packing company in the world, started by Phillip Danforth Armour. It grew almost instantly but J. Ogden Armour took it to the next level. The company is a uniquely American company of a bygone era. Though they ventured into soaps and pharmaceuticals, no one today remembers it.
