They had over 1k locations throughout the mid west (Especially OH and the NE) and had agreements with other chains (especially Nathan’s famous in NYC and beyond). Now they are down to four locations (2 in NE oh and 2 elsewhere in OH). I would be curious about 1: How they failed and 2: how the remaining locations are ACTUALLY surviving!
I’m from the Cleveland, OH area and go to the one in the suburbs (Garfield Hts, OH).
I think it would be a great story for the RISE and FALL and UNLIKELY SURVIVAL of a chain of resturants.
In the 1970’s, they were HUGE in the midwest and northeast. Now, they are still hanging on despite the huge fall they have taken. They should have been extinct in the 1980’s.
