The rise and fall and rise again of Bluebell.

The company was started in 1907 in Brenham, TX. For most of their history, they were a Texas only company. In the late 1980s, the company started selling its products outside Texas. There have expanded to include all southeastern United States.

In 2015 they had a Listeria contamination of their products that resulted in a total recall of their products and the closing of all their plants. The company has recovered from the incident.

As part of their recovery, Sid Bass became an investor in the company and his cash investment was a key to the company surviving the incident.
