it’s a company most people have forgotten about, which is strange given that last year it was 110 years old.
they used the same building from 1894-1998.
their stuff was neat just because it was a wisconsin built tractor, built with (at first) their own engines, and later with wisconsin made Tehcumseh engines.
in 2001 MTD bought the rights to the brand and currently uses it to sell rebrands of it’s tractors in Lowes stores. LOWES.
they went from a very highly reputed brand to a bottom bracket rebadge sold at a chain that is failing as we speak, and I think that’s interesting in hindsight.
