This one is an interesting story as it was actually the first major airline to go bankrupt in the post-deregulation era in 1982. It would be resurrected two more times before finally being gone for good. It was had a great rise, but a tragic fall from grace as well. Lot of people focus on defunct airlines like PanAm or Eastern, but not Braniff.
