Saw on twitter that Anderson Cooper used to be on Channel One News and reported on location from war zones in the 90s, which was crazy to me. My school implemented watching Channel One around 2011, I just remember them doing tours of trucker’s cabins n one segment on Kony 2012-nothing as substantial. Originally I thought it would b a great decline video (considering the company shut down in 2018 n there was an obvious decline in quality) but when looking into it, I found out channel one was basically an advertising company. They would cut deals with schools, provide them with satellite dishes and television in return they would show kids 12 minutes of commercials. I never remembered seeing advertisements? I was 12 at the time but I still stink I would’ve pick it up, even if it was subliminal. Bizarre topic all around
