This company gave the State of Texas billions in exchange for rights to the toll roads. On the surface it makes sense – They would build roads and toll roads in Dallas / Fort Worth (DFW) in exchange for the right to collect the tolls. Problem is they effectively limit the free lanes and jack up the speed limits for th toll lanes. During a recent ice storm (Snomageddon) – the same one that caused the state wide blackout and power outages – this backfired when you had a several hundred car pileup due to cost cutting of road maintenance leading to multiple deaths. My question is how is this even ethical or remotely legal.
