Very much a rise and fall and rise again in the making, largely thanks to the likes of Connor McGregor, Floyd Mayweather, ASAP Yams, and other celebrities.

Coogi is a high end clothing company from Australia who have had quite the long and complicated history since their initial founding in 1969. A name change from Cuggi to Coogi in order to sound more like an indigenous Australian name in 1987, being worn by and popularised outside of Australian yacht clubs by the likes of the Notorious B.I.G and Snoop Dogg which made it THE brand to have in the 90’s rap scene, almost going under, being bought out by an American group, destroying their brand image and turning into a low-end brand, a revamp in the early 2010’s to bring them back to luxury status, the various (untrue) rumours about Bill Cosby wearing them, (etc.)

This brand has such a complicated and confusing history, and with it’s recent attempt at a comeback to its roots, I feel like it would be a great time to make a video about them as not a lot of organised information seems to be available about them online despite their incredibly influential history within the 90’s fashion and hip hop scene thanks to the aforementioned association with Biggie Smalls.

Would love to know what other people think about this. I feel it would make a very interesting video that may bring light to a brand that a lot of people may not even be aware still exists, or may not have been aware even exists in the first place.
