I have been working for them for 6 years and when i started with them i had no idea who they were even though there had been one less than 5 miles from my house for 20 years. they had a slow burn through Florida and only advertises through word of mouth. In the last 3 years or so they did a 180 and started expanding rapidly across the country. First watch is a hot competitor in the breakfast brunch market and are the OG for premium breakfast. They have also starting buying up other competing brands and converting them into ours. One of the driving forces with first watch is our 5 steps of service and 10 commandments which is required for all employees to know by heart and anyone of the higher ups can pop up in your restaurant at any time and check to see if those are being followed. First watch has one of the best leadership teams of any company and they are constantly in the stores checking over the operations to make sure it meets their standards. they also care about their staff to the point that the CEO and VP know my name and remember me from when I was new cook 6 years ago to a cooperate trainer to an operations manager now
