I was visiting the Outer Banks of North Carolina this week, and on the more popular beaches there are surf shops that generally have the same look/style, but are owned by different companies. I’m not sure if it’s just a thing in the Carolinas, but I found it strange how there’s so many of these huge buildings decked out with beach related merchandise. Maybe just exploring how this trend started/why it’s so prevalent? A few examples include Eagles and Wings, which are the two main ones that you see everywhere near the NC/SC coast. This might be too vague of an idea and might be isolated, but it would be awesome if you could find something interesting about them. Thanks!
