G4S has its origins in a guarding business founded in Copenhagen in 1901 by Marius Hogrefe, after several years of acquisitions and mergers including several international companies such as :The Wackenhut Corporation,Securicor, Rock Steady Group and ArmorGroup International

Due to G4S expanding globally there services have had adapted to the needs of other markets, G4S now offers a range of services including: supply of security personnel, monitoring equipment, response units and secure prisoner transportation. G4S also works with governments overseas to deliver security.

G4S is the world’s largest security company measured by revenues. It has operations in more than 90 countries and employs over 570,000 people.

However G4S is not with out its controversy, in 2012 G4S failured to meet London 2012 Security Contracts for the Olympics,3,500 British troops would be deployed at the 2012 Summer Olympics due to a shortage of adequately trained G4S security staff. G4S also employed Omar Mateen when he committed the one of the worst mass-shooting incidents in United States history. There are more examples of G4S negligence.

Personally I have worked for G4S and enjoyed my time with the team.
