Started as a Cuban brand then exiled to Puerto Rico. Now there is a Puerto Rican version produced by Bacardi and a Cuban version produced 50% by The Cuban Government and the other 50% by Pernod Ricard. It’s a brand with a long family history that found itself woven into cold war diplomacy.
