This is one of the most successful indie animation studio, creating some of the most popular franchises ever like The Simpsons and Rugrats. Started by newlywed animator couple (one a Hungarian immigrant, the other an American, both animators who met in Sweden) in an apartment growing to a 550 employee company, fiercely maintaining their independence, fueling creator-oriented (as opposed to market-driven) art, in turn feeding into their success, only to be dropped by their biggest client, Nickelodeon, and subsequently having to shut down.
