Luby’s, Fuddruckers, and Cheeseburger in Paradise are under the umbrella of Luby’s Inc. A company started as a single cafeteria, that grew organically all over Texas and the Southern US. Take over by the founders of Pappas restaurants, to acquisition of Fuddruckers. Public listing in 1973 to their constant struggle to avoid delisting.

I’m a little biased as this was the first stock I owned. It was $40 in the mid to late 90’s, only to slide steadily away to under a buck fifty a share. Wasn’t the best christmas gift for a two year old then, still not a great gift every time it’s worthless for me to try and sell.
