Located in the small city of Rochester, MN (population around 115,000), the clinic was started shortly after a tornado struck Rochester and quickly grew to become one of the largest hospitals in the world. The clinic is a nonprofit and serves a large portion of the Midwest, Jacksonville, Florida and Arizona. The clinic is a nonprofit and pays its doctors salary instead of basing pay off of the number of patients seen as is common in other hospitals. The clinic has many famous patients including the Dalai Lama, Lou Gehrig, Ronald Reagan, Johnny Cash and Muhammad Ali to name a few.
