160+ year old newspaper company that most people have never heard of. They are the 3rd largest newspaper company in the country. They publish 30 daily newspapers across the US. Some of the best known are the Miami Herald, The Kansas City Star, and the Sacramento Bee. Their stock price has gone from the $75 range in 2004 to less than a dollar in 2015. They’ve since done a reverse stock split (10:1) but the price continues to drop as ad revenue remains in free fall. You could potentially highlight how ad revenues and subscription models have affected the entire industry.
