Elevators are everywhere. We use them every day without a second’s hesitation. But if you really think about it, they’re metal boxes that hang by steel rope that (if damaged) could cause incredible damage and death. But incidentally, OTIS was the company that created the safety features we use in Elevators which have made them a staple in our daily lives.
