Pathmark was the supermarket we went to growing up in Northeast and in the end it was amazing how they went to a place of great value to having consistently higher prices than other markets in an attempt to stay alive. Also A&P bought them and in my neighborhood A&P was less than one block from Pathmark meaning that had complete control over my neighborhood in terms of grocery but still went down within a couple years.
