Please consider doing an episode on Pioneer Chicken (aka Pioneer Takeout). For a time, this was KFC’s biggest rival. Even former NFL star OJ Simpson (yes, that ‘OJ Simpson’) did TV commercials for them. Actually, even when you consider their product, BATTER fried chicken, you’d be hard-pressed to find any other chain selling a product with a similar texture and taste. There are only TWO locations in the entire country, and they are both entirely in the L.A. area. They used to have branded containers for their chicken…… but now, they only come in a non-descript, white box. Perhaps if you’ve grown up in the 1970’s or 80’s, you probabaly would have some exposure to this brand/chain as well. If so, have you tried their chicken?
