Plenti was created in 2015 by American Express to be a multi-retailer rewards program. Just 3 short years later in 2018, American Express announced the closure of the program after several large brand partners walked away in the past 6 months. Since the program’s closure, there hasn’t been another program similar to it (one that’s not directly tied to a credit card issuer or chain of stores).
