One thing that I was put on to about the company featured in that video (at the other end of the link below) that is not in any way covered is the fact that beginning in 1950 they were the ground breaking Illinois concern initially contracted with by a couple of guys in the Los Angeles area known as the Borun brothers (who had by that time gained notoriety as the founders of the Thrifty Drug Store chain on the west coast, and of more particular relevance up to the present their blind taste tests worldwide top award winning Thrifty’s ice cream) to create for them in modified form from that company’s already signature all stainless steel pistol trigger grip square cube producing ice cream scoop the now well recognized iconic, solidly identified with that ice cream cylinder producing scoop.
