Curtiss Wright started as the US’s way to convince the Wright brothers and Glen Curtiss to work together to make planes for WW1-2. They’ve been the second largest firm in the US and now have left their roots of aviation and gone into all sorts of markets from industrial to naval. They were even on the butt end of a landmark US Supreme Court case. How did they go from a massive household name to a just another subcontractor for Boeing and the Military?
