What is the history of Wachovia and what happened to make it fail and merge with Wells Fargo. As an employee that went through it I know some, but not all of the story. For example, the merger was going to be between Wachovia and Citi Group, but changed to Wells Fargo at the last min. I’ve heard rumors on why that happened, but would like some definitive data.
