Growing up in the Los Angeles metropolitan area in the 1980s, we had a phrase that’s probably older than I am: “You can’t throw a rock without hitting a Winchell’s Donuts.” They were probably as ubiquitous then as Starbucks is today.

So, what happened to my beloved Winchell’s Donuts? I’m not sure whether this should be a “Decline of” video, or “Dunkin’ vs Winchell’s Donuts”.
